If you are looking to eat out in public more often, there are a growing number of terrific resources available throughout the internet.   One of these websites that recently launched is called The Celiac Scene.

The Celiac Scene is based in Canada, so it looks like much of the focus will be in that area, but they also have room for people to submit locations throughout North America, including here in the United States.
