I ate at Olive Garden this evening and was disappointed. I ordered the GF Mixed Grill specifically off from their menu, confirmed it with my server, and got potatoes and the sauce all over the veggies and meat. No broccoli. I don’t think they cater to Celiacs at all.
I ate at Olive Garden in Anderson, IN earlier this month and had the mixed grill (all chicken) from the GF menu and had a great experience. They served the salad without croutons, and gave me fresh steamed veggies with my meal. The meat was tender and moist. No celiac reactions at all.
I ate at the Olive Garden in East Orlando (on Hwy 50) this weekend and had a wonderful experience. The general manager, Vince, came by our table to talk specifically about the unexpectedly positive response that they have had to the gf menu, and that it is important to them to meet the needs of celiac customers. Apparently, the gf pasta that they use comes individually packaged with a disposable utensil to lessen any chance of cross contamination. I was very impressed, and the mixed grill was delicious!
I have eaten at Olive Garden in Branson, MO, a couple of times and have gotten the pasta both times. It was wonderful to eat pasta when dining out.
