If you are one of our readers who lives in the Midwest (Indiana, Wisconsin, and Illinois in particular), I wanted to let you know that we just received notification that Monical’s Pizza, found throughout the above mentioned states, now offers gluten free pizzas to their customers.
According to the information I’ve received, they have actually teamed up with French Meadow Bakery, using their 10 inch pizza crusts to build gluten free pizzas to order. Monical’s has also educated their employees on cross-contamination and taken precautions to ensure that all of their toppings are also indeed gluten free, giving followers of the gluten free diet a surprisingly large number of options!
As I don’t live in one of these states, I haven’t had a chance to try one of these pizzas yet, but I have read some great reviews. If you live near a Monical’s Pizza and have had a chance to try this pizza, please leave your review in the comments!

ITS SOOO GOOOOOD!!!!!
I have eaten the gluten-free pizza at 2 different Monical’s in northern Illinois. It is the best g-f pizze I’ve had in the 6 years I have been g-f. It takes like a real pizza, not a carboard crust. The toppings are fresh unlike a frozen pizza. I used to by a cheese g-f pizza at the health food store & add fresh ingredients. It would satisfy my pizza craving but the prices have gone up. I would highly recommend Monical’s. I have also been able to purchase one “To Go”. Since I live over an hour from the closest restaurant, I’ve taken 2 home and placed them in the freezer to eat later. A word of advice if the Monical’s near you will do this for you. They will give it to you on a metal tray. Make sure you cook the pizza on this metal tray or transfer the pizza to a baking stone. Do not attempt to cook the pizza directly on the oven rack. I tried and it won’t hold up. It cooks great on a pizza stone.
Sorry for the typos in the previous post. I was so excited to share my findings!! Enjoy…
